Role: Network Engineer - Azure Cloud Platform Engineer, DevOps Deployment
Hybrid Mode – 4 Days onsite in a week
1 year Fixed Term contract
Job Details:
The Cloud & Server Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and governing cloud-native and hybrid platform services across the organisation, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure. This is a platform engineering role — the team defines the standards, frameworks, and reference architectures that underpin the organisation's infrastructure, rather than providing day-to-day operational support.
Combining platform engineering with modern DevOps practices, this role drives the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment patterns to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure platform services. The team establishes governance, monitoring frameworks, and operational standards that enable support and operations teams to manage services effectively — acting as the technical escalation point for complex platform issues.
Working closely with Solution Architecture, application development, and data teams, the engineer designs and delivers Azure-based solutions that meet business and technology requirements, championing a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and self-service enablement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
