About The Role
We're looking for Cloud Engineers to join a fast-paced, constantly evolving engineering team delivering world-class secure cloud solutions that make a genuine difference to our customers.
Whether you are developing your cloud engineering career or already operating at a more experienced specialist level, you'll help build, automate and support secure cloud environments that are designed for resilience, scalability and security from day one.
Working as part of multidisciplinary delivery teams, you will contribute to the design, implementation and continuous improvement of secure cloud platforms, automation frameworks and operational tooling. You'll collaborate closely with customers, engineers, security specialists and architects to deliver solutions that enable critical missions and support important national services.
This role offers opportunities to work across the full lifecycle of cloud delivery whilst developing expertise in cloud-native technologies, platform engineering, infrastructure-as-code, DevSecOps and secure cloud operations.
Note: This role requires eligibility for UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. As a result, applicants must typically be sole British citizens and have lived in the UK continuously for the previous 10 years, subject to UK Government vetting requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
Depending on your skills, interests and experience, you may:
- Design, build and support secure cloud platforms and services using modern engineering and automation practices.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code, configuration management and deployment automation to improve consistency, scalability and delivery speed.
- Collaborate with customers, architects, security specialists and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver secure cloud solutions.
- Support the operation, monitoring and continual improvement of cloud platforms, ensuring high levels of availability, resilience and performance.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment and operational issues, helping to identify and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Contribute to cloud security, risk management and compliance activities, ensuring solutions are secure by design.
- Share knowledge, support peer reviews and contribute to engineering standards, best practice and technical communities.
- Mentor and support less experienced engineers whilst contributing to the development of team capability.
- Evaluate emerging tools, technologies and engineering approaches that improve platform capabilities and customer outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
