Marketing Cloud Solution Architect / Technical Lead
Looking for a Marketing Cloud Solution Architect / Technical Lead with strong hands-on SFMC expertise. Must have experience with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, AMPScript, SQL, Marketing Cloud Connect & API integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Design: Lead the technical design of multi-channel marketing campaigns, automated journeys, and complex data models utilising Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder.
- Systems Integration: Architect and oversee the integration of SFMC with Salesforce CRM, enterprise data warehouses, e-commerce platforms, and other third-party APIs (REST/SOAP).
- Data Strategy: Define and implement robust data architecture, segmentation strategies, and ETL processes to ensure data hygiene, compliance (GDPR/CCPA), and real-time personalisation.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor developers and marketing administrators, conduct code reviews (AMPScript, SQL, SSJS), and establish best practices for platform governance and release management.
- Stakeholder Management: Partner with marketing leaders, product owners, and IT infrastructure teams to map out technical roadmaps and feasibility assessments for new marketing initiatives.

Must-Have Skills:
- Experience: 3+ years of dedicated hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with at least 2 years in a Solution Architect or Lead Technical Consultant role.
- Core SFMC Expertise: Deep technical mastery of Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Contact Builder, Email Studio, and Mobile Studio.
- Coding & Scripting: High-level proficiency in AMPScript and SQL (particularly for complex relational data querying).
- Ecosystem Integration: Proven experience implementing and troubleshooting Marketing Cloud Connect to sync data between SFMC and Sales/Service Cloud.
- API Capabilities: Strong understanding of API integrations (REST and SOAP) and how to leverage them for custom triggers, real-time data ingestion, and external system communication.

Optional Skills:
- Advanced Scripting: Working knowledge of Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS) or Guide Template Language (GTL).
- Expanded Cloud Knowledge: Experience with Salesforce Data360, Marketing Cloud Personalization, Marketing Cloud Intelligence (formerly Datorama) and Marketing Cloud Next / Advanced.
- Web Development: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks used within Web Studio / CloudPages.
