A growing technology business operating at the intersection of cloud, SaaS and financial services is looking for a hands-on Cloud & Infrastructure Support Engineer to join its team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Azure professional who enjoys being close to the technology - troubleshooting issues, responding to incidents, supporting users and keeping a live Azure environment running smoothly.

The role has been created to strengthen the Azure team as the platform continues to grow, giving the successful contractor genuine ownership of the day-to-day infrastructure environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting and administering a commercial Microsoft Azure environment.
  • Monitoring Azure infrastructure and responding to alerts.
  • Troubleshooting cloud, networking, connectivity and performance issues.
  • Supporting Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
  • Working across Azure VMs, storage, networking and application services.
  • Managing Azure networking including VNets, NSGs, VPNs and DNS.
  • Picking up and independently resolving infrastructure tickets.
  • Supporting firewall and networking changes.
  • Supporting Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
  • Carrying out routine patching and maintenance.
  • Maintaining technical documentation and runbooks.
  • Supporting infrastructure projects and platform improvements.
  • Assisting with security, vulnerability and compliance activity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The environment

This is an in-house technology environment where Azure is central to the product.

The wider engineering team looks after platform engineering and larger Azure builds, while this position focuses on hands-on BAU support and operational ownership.

The ideal candidate will come from a SaaS, technology, fintech, financial services, payments or other commercial environment.

MSP backgrounds will also be considered where the candidate has strong hands-on Azure experience and can operate independently.

Why join?

This isn't a role where you'll simply be another pair of hands.

You'll be trusted to take ownership of day-to-day Azure operations, work across a broad range of infrastructure technologies and make an immediate impact within a growing technology business.

3 months initially, with potential for ongoing quarterly extensions.
