Cloud Support Engineer | Lancashire (Hybrid) | £30,000 - £35,000
A fantastic client of ours is looking for a Cloud Support Engineer to join their infrastructure team. You'll be working across a mix of private datacentre and public cloud environments deploying, maintaining and supporting hosted infrastructure while contributing to automation and continuous improvement across the platform.
This role operates with a shift pattern with participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota, so comfortability with that is essential.
What you'll be doing:
- Deploying and configuring infrastructure via automation tooling across physical datacentres and public cloud platforms
- Monitoring and maintaining infrastructure to meet uptime SLAs and resolve operational issues
- System patching, application updates, vulnerability remediation and security hardening across hosted systems
- Managing and maintaining virtualised platforms, storage solutions, servers and network devices
- Supporting customer systems and resolving incidents in line with agreed SLAs
- Testing, validating and documenting changes in line with change management processes
- Contributing to technical projects including infrastructure changes and new platform deployments
- Preparing clear technical documentation, system build records and status reports

You'll need:
- Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware, Nutanix, etc
- Strong background in Windows and Linux server support at 2nd line level or above
- Experience deploying and configuring solutions across private datacentre and public cloud environments including AWS and Azure
- Familiarity with IaC and automation tools
- AWS, Linux or Kubernetes certifications
- ITIL qualification or awareness
- Windows Server certs

- £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
