Cloud Support Engineer – Microsoft Azure | United Kingdom

Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive Cloud Support Engineer – Microsoft Azure to join a growing technology team in the United Kingdom. This role is ideal for IT professionals with experience supporting cloud environments, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and delivering exceptional technical support. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to maintain cloud services, resolve incidents, and ensure high system availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Monitor cloud environments and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot virtual machines, storage, networking, identity, and access management issues.
  • Support Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) administration.
  • Perform system health checks, maintenance, and performance monitoring.
  • Assist with cloud deployments, migrations, and configuration changes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and system updates.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and development teams.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices.
  • Participate in an on-call support rota when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of experience in IT support, cloud support, or infrastructure support.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
  • Understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting is desirable.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, or equivalent) are an advantage.
