The Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Transformation Programme Lead to deliver an Azure migration for an established professional services organisation.
Reporting to the CIO, you will lead the assessment, planning and migration of an existing Windows and SQL estate to Microsoft Azure, with implementation due by July 2027. You will work closely with internal IT colleagues and external providers, taking the programme through testing, cutover, stabilisation and handover into a co-managed service.
Responsibilities
- Assess the existing infrastructure, applications and dependencies, identifying migration requirements and risks.
- Develop and manage the migration roadmap, delivery plan and milestones.
- Coordinate technical design, supplier evaluation and implementation activity.
- Lead testing, operational readiness and cutover planning, maintaining business continuity throughout.
- Manage programme risks, dependencies, costs and supplier delivery.
- Keep the CIO and senior stakeholders informed, making technical decisions and delivery issues clear.
- Establish responsibilities, service acceptance criteria and handover arrangements for the co-managed service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
