Cloudflare Presales Consultant

£70,000 base OTE £78,000–£82,000

Location: Home based, with occasional travel to customer sites and our Shoreham office

Focus Group is a £300m-revenue, 1,400-person technology services company backed by Hg Capital. Following our $1bn valuation in 2024, we're scaling rapidly and investing in AI to transform how we operate and how we serve our 30,000 SME customers.

Our Presales team provides technical solutions to new and existing customers across networking, cloud and server infrastructure, and cyber resilience. Focus Group is Cloudflare's sole UKI Cloudflare One Design Partner — a strategic designation backed by joint investment to scale our Cloudflare One delivery capability. As our Cloudflare Presales Consultant, you'll be the presales team's subject matter expert on Cloudflare One, working with new and existing clients to define requirements, design solutions and demonstrate our Cloudflare-based capability.

What you'll do

  • Act as the presales team's subject matter expert on Cloudflare One products
  • Maintain Focus Group's authorised delivery standards, building reusable delivery assets and automation using Terraform, APIs and the Cloudflare One stack
  • Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle, from first conversation to close
  • Run discovery calls, workshops and technical assessments with customers
  • Design technically robust, commercially sound solutions, fully validated before they go to the customer
  • Own technical documentation: designs, network diagrams, statements of work
  • Lead or co-lead RFP responses, with compelling technical and commercial proposals

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for

  • Genuine, provable depth on the Cloudflare One platform specifically, not adjacent networking or security experience — plus relevant Cloudflare accreditations
  • Comfortable representing Focus Group credibly in front of Cloudflare's own teams as well as customers, given our Design Partner status
  • A solid grasp of SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) concepts and Zero Trust networking architectures
  • Enough breadth across hybrid network and application architectures — Azure, AWS and GCP — to design solutions that fit a customer's existing environment
  • Practical experience with networking (LAN, WAN, SDWAN) and firewall technologies, and a deep understanding of the wider cybersecurity landscape
  • Capable of building reusable delivery assets and light automation using Terraform and APIs, raising the technical bar for how solutions get delivered, not just sold
  • A track record leading technical conversations with senior, sceptical stakeholders unassisted, and proposals that survive detailed technical challenge
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally
