About the role

We are looking for a pragmatic, hands-on engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. The ideal candidate will be someone who can operate independently, drive improvements and challenge existing approaches where appropriate.

Our environment spans multiple cloud platforms, products, databases and technologies. We do not expect candidates to know everything. We are looking for someone with strong technical fundamentals, a willingness to learn and the ability to troubleshoot unfamiliar systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting production, development and test environments.
  • Investigating and resolving production issues, contributing to root cause analysis and identifying improvements to prevent recurrence.
  • Troubleshooting infrastructure, application, database and networking problems.
  • Managing cloud-hosted infrastructure and services.
  • Improving platform reliability, resilience, performance and cost efficiency.
  • Supporting disaster recovery testing and recovery planning.
  • Developing automation and reducing manual operational processes leveraging AI assisted tooling where suitable.
  • Remediating findings from penetration tests, vulnerability scans and security reviews.
  • Working closely with development, product and IT teams.
  • Participating in an on-call rota for production environments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
