Job Overview
As a CloudStack Engineer, you will help deploy, manage and support cloud and compute infrastructure, ensuring environments remain reliable, secure and performant.
The CloudStack Engineer role is aimed at someone with around 2 to 3 years of experience across cloud infrastructure, Linux, networking, virtualisation or platform engineering.
You will work across Apache CloudStack or similar private cloud technologies, Linux environments, KVM virtualisation, networking and compute infrastructure. Previous CloudStack experience would be highly advantageous, although candidates with strong OpenStack, KVM or private cloud experience are also encouraged to apply.
This CloudStack Engineer position offers the opportunity to build deeper technical expertise while working alongside experienced technology professionals on live infrastructure.

Here's what you'll be doing:
- Supporting the deployment, configuration and management of Apache CloudStack environments
- Managing virtual machines, compute resources, storage and networking
- Supporting Linux-based infrastructure and KVM virtualisation environments
- Monitoring cloud infrastructure to maintain availability, performance and reliability
- Troubleshooting issues across cloud platforms, Linux, networking and virtualisation
- Supporting the deployment and commissioning of new compute capacity
- Investigating infrastructure incidents and identifying root causes
- Supporting infrastructure upgrades, maintenance and configuration changes
- Working across both cloud software and underlying physical infrastructure
- Documenting configurations, processes and technical findings
- Identifying opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability and automation
- Working closely with senior engineers and technical leadership to resolve infrastructure challenges
Here are the skills you'll need:
- Around 2 to 3 years of experience within cloud infrastructure, systems, platform engineering or a related technical role
- Experience with Apache CloudStack, OpenStack or similar private cloud technologies
- Good Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of KVM or similar virtualisation technologies
- Good understanding of compute, storage and virtualisation concepts
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs and core networking principles
- Experience troubleshooting cloud or infrastructure issues
- Exposure to infrastructure automation or scripting would be beneficial
- A practical and methodical approach to technical problem-solving
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear communication and technical documentation skills
- An interest in AI infrastructure, data centres and high-performance computing
