Administrator – Roundwood
20 hours per week, Taverham, Norwich
We’re looking for a highly organised, proactive and friendly Administrator to join the team at Roundwood.
This is a varied role working across our indoor bowls club, holiday accommodation and campsite, so no two days are quite the same. This is an onsite role based at Roundwood in Taverham. Because you’ll be dealing directly with our members, guests and visitors and supporting the day-to-day running of the club and accommodation, you’ll need to work from Roundwood during your agreed hours. The role cannot be carried out remotely or from home.

Your time will be split between several areas of the business, including:
Bowls Club Administration
- Managing the day-to-day administration of the bowls club
- Managing rink bookings, member enquiries and general correspondence

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

An interest in bowls or a willingness to learn about the sport is a key part of the role. You don't need to be an experienced player just someone who has a genuine interest in learning about the sport and the club.
Previous administration experience would be an advantage, but attitude, organisation and the ability to learn quickly are just as important to us.
