City Padel Plymouth is looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and people-driven Club Assistant to help deliver an outstanding experience for our players and team.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of the club, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves customer service, and enjoys being part of a team.
The Role
As Club Assistant, you’ll be one of the faces of City Padel Plymouth — helping ensure the club runs smoothly day-to-day, our players feel welcomed, and the club maintains the highest standards.
Applicants with barista training and café/bar/hospitality experience would be highly desirable, although full training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience & Communication
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with current and prospective players
- Welcome all players in a friendly, professional manner
- Answer phone calls and respond to enquiries, providing accurate information about the club, padel, and services
- Relay relevant information and feedback to the management team
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the club (bins, toilets, communal areas)
Team Support
- Work closely with the wider team to help deliver a positive club environment
- Support daily reception and café operations
- Contribute ideas to improve the overall member and guest experience

Bookings, Scheduling & Promotion
- Assist with facility scheduling, court bookings, matches, and rentals
- Help promote spare spaces on courses and courts via WhatsApp and Instagram
- Ensure booking systems are accurate and up to date
Café & Retail Support
- Applicants with barista training and previous café/bar/hospitality experience would be preferred but are not essential.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked café and retail area
- Prepare and monitor toasties and baked goods
- Ensure the coffee machine is maintained and kept clean
- Help keep pricing and offerings updated and communicated clearly
