Deputy Club Manager - Term time only

Salary: £14.00 to £18.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location: Maidenhead

We are working with a well-established childcare provider with three settings across Berkshire, caring for children between 8 weeks to 13 years. They are looking for a passionate Club Deputy Manager to join their team, with flexible options to work term-time only or full-time all year round.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with school children, supporting a team, and creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment. You will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the after-school club, helping to deliver exceptional childcare.

Working Hours

  • Flexible working hours, depending on the successful candidate.
  • Term time only: 18.75 hours per week (2:45pm to 6:30pm).
  • Opportunity to work during school holidays on a full-time basis (8 to 8.5-hour shifts between 8:15am and 5:45pm).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Manager with the day-to-day running of the club and lead the team to deliver high-quality childcare.
  • Act as Manager in their absence.
  • Create a fun, safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children between 3-14 years.
  • Oversee a variety of engaging activities including sports, outdoor play, arts and crafts, baking, experiments, and homework support.
  • Lead, mentor, and support staff development, encouraging a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, safeguarding, and risk assessments are followed at all times.
  • Promote strong partnerships with parents and carers.
  • Champion the club's Eco Vision and sustainable practices.
  • Support the implementation of business objectives and work closely with the Operations Director to achieve company goals.

About You

  • Level 3 Childcare qualification (essential) along with your Maths and English.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Caring, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting children's development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • A clear and up-to-date Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one.
