At Soul Padel, we believe everyone belongs on our courts - from first-time players to seasoned pros. Our clubs are welcoming places where people can meet, play and connect, both on and off the court. We are passionate about making padel accessible, affordable and addictive, in the best way possible.
With four clubs already operating, including the successful launch of our first Scottish club at Braehead in June - we are building real momentum. We are now preparing to open three more Scottish clubs during 2026 as we pursue our ambition to become Scotland’s largest padel operator. As we grow, we’re strengthening our leadership team, with Club Leader opportunities across Glasgow and the West Coast, as well as Edinburgh and the East Coast. It’s an exciting time to join Soul Padel and play a leading role in our continued growth.
THE ROLE - CLUB LEADER
As Club Leader, you’ll be the heartbeat of your club - leading the operation, developing your team and bringing people together to build a thriving local padel community. You’ll be visible, hands-on and just as comfortable engaging with players and partners as you are managing the commercial performance of the club.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven leadership experience, with a strong commercial and operational focus.
- The ability to lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Confidence managing performance, standards, costs and the day-to-day demands of a busy customer-facing operation.
- Energy, drive and a genuine passion for building communities.
- A genuine love for padel and the ability to play to a good, confident standard.
- A hands-on approach and a willingness to get involved both on and off the court.
You don’t need to be an advanced padel player, but you should be excited about playing and learning. A quick heads-up: you’ll be joining us on court as part of the final interview process!
What you’ll do:
- Think and act like an owner, taking full responsibility for the day-to-day operation, commercial performance and continued growth of your club.
- Lead, motivate and develop your team, ensuring every shift is effectively managed and consistently delivers high standards.
- Manage staffing, rotas, labour costs, stock, facilities, maintenance and operational compliance.
- Maintain exceptional standards across the courts, clubhouse and wider facilities.
- Drive court utilisation, coaching income and retail sales while maintaining effective cost control.
- Use club data and reporting to identify opportunities, resolve issues and improve performance.
- Build and grow a thriving local padel community, creating activities and programmes that keep players engaged.
- Lead local marketing initiatives that build awareness, attract new players and increase participation.
- Develop strong local partnerships with schools, sports clubs, universities, community organisations and businesses.
- Plan and deliver events, Americano tournaments, social sessions and corporate days.
- Ensure Playtomic and all other club systems are accurate and kept up to date.
- Maintain an active presence across your club’s social media channels and WhatsApp groups.
- Be visible and engaged both on and off the court, building strong relationships with players, partners and your local community.

OUR CLUB MODEL
Our typical club has four covered courts, supported by a clubhouse and retail area. Bookings and player activity are managed digitally through Playtomic. Each club delivers a varied programme of coaching, social sessions, competitive play, tournaments and community events. Our clubs welcome everyone—from complete beginners picking up a racquet for the first time to experienced competitive players. We operate welcoming, community-focused venues where people can meet, play and connect.
Our retail offering includes racquets, clothing, shakes, protein bars and great coffee. We don’t serve alcohol - we keep our clubs healthy, inclusive and family-friendly! Our club teams are hands-on, working together across customer service, court operations, events, retail and maintaining the venue. We build strong local connections through partnerships with schools, universities, businesses, sports clubs and community organisations. Soul Padel manages the build, staffing and day-to-day operation of each club through long-term partnerships with organisations including Decathlon, universities, councils and sports clubs.

WORKING LIFE AT SOUL PADEL
Our clubs operate seven days a week, from early morning until late evening. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role involving a mixture of opening and closing shifts, including one weekend in every two. As Club Leader, you’ll need to be flexible and present during peak periods, events and key community activities.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:
- A basic salary of £35,000 - £38,000, depending on experience.
- An on-target bonus opportunity of up to 25% of basic salary, paid quarterly.
- Total potential annual earnings of £43,750–£47,500 when the full bonus is achieved.
- 28 days’ holiday.

INTERVIEW PROCESS
First round: An informal online conversation with our Operations Director, Craig Milne. Think of it as a mutual vibe check - you’re interviewing us just as much as we’re interviewing you. It’s an opportunity to get to know each other, learn more about the role and decide whether Soul Padel feels like the right fit.
Final stage: You will be asked to prepare and deliver a presentation to our founders, Mark and Tammy Hewlett, and our Operations Director, Craig Milne. You’ll also jump on court with members of our club team, giving us the opportunity to see your energy, interaction and community spirit alongside your leadership and commercial thinking.
