Role Description
The Club Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and smooth operation of Elgin Golf Club. This full-time, on-site role based in Forres oversees clubhouse operations, member services, golf operations coordination, and the delivery of a high-quality experience for members and guests.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing staff schedules and performance
- Coordinating with the golf professional and greens team
- Ensuring the clubhouse, bar, catering, and events run efficiently
- Handling budgeting, financial reporting, and procurement in line with the club’s strategic goals
- Maintaining high standards of service, safety, and compliance
- Developing member engagement initiatives
- Supporting club committees
- Upholding the club’s values of tradition, inclusivity, and sustainability
Qualifications
- Experience in club, hospitality, leisure, or venue management with strong operational oversight and service standards.
- Skills in budgeting, financial reporting, cost control, and basic business administration.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams, including staff scheduling, performance management, and recruitment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on member engagement, relationship building, and conflict resolution.
- Experience in event planning, coordination of competitions or functions, and delivering quality member and guest experiences.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing demands.
- Understanding of health and safety, compliance, and safeguarding responsibilities in a club or hospitality environment.
- Comfort with IT systems, point-of-sale, booking and membership software; proficiency in standard office applications.
- Knowledge of golf club operations or a strong interest in golf is highly beneficial.
- Relevant qualification in hospitality, business management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
