Help Create an Outstanding Environment Where Students Can Thrive

At Oasis Academy Daventry Road, we know that a great learning environment plays a vital role in helping young people succeed. We are looking for a committed, practical and proactive Facilities Assistant to join our friendly team and help ensure our academy remains a safe, secure and welcoming place for all.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and takes pride in maintaining high standards. From carrying out repairs and supporting site maintenance to ensuring health and safety compliance, you'll be instrumental in keeping our academy running smoothly every day.

About The Role

As Facilities Assistant, you'll support the day-to-day operation of the academy site, helping to ensure our students and staff benefit from a clean, safe and well-maintained environment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Undertaking general maintenance and basic repairs across the academy.
  • Supporting the opening, closing and security of the site.
  • Carrying out routine health and safety checks.
  • Assisting with grounds maintenance and site presentation.
  • Setting up rooms and equipment for academy events and activities.
  • Working alongside contractors and supporting improvement projects.
  • Responding promptly to maintenance issues as they arise.
  • Helping to maintain a positive environment that reflects the high standards of the academy.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who:

  • Has practical maintenance, repair or DIY experience.
  • Is reliable, organised and able to work independently.
  • Has a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Communicates effectively and works well as part of a team.
  • Takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Has a flexible and positive attitude.
