Role Overview
This is a career-defining role where you’ll have the freedom to shape and lead the sales strategy across two iconic Scottish hotels. It’s an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make their mark, grow with the business, and be part of an inspiring journey as we continue to expand our reach in the luxury leisure, corporate, and MICE markets.
As Cluster Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue, building strong client relationships, and maximising market opportunities across both properties.
You will focus on new business development, key account management, and creating strategic partnerships across leisure, MICE, corporate, and special events markets.
This role offers the flexibility and autonomy to create and implement your own strategies, working closely with the events teams, General Managers and group marketing and commercial teams to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement proactive sales strategies for both hotels across leisure, corporate, MICE, and event markets.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through networking, sales calls, attending trade shows, exhibitions, and client meetings.
- Manage key accounts, build long-lasting relationships, and grow revenue from existing clients.
- Conduct regular sales activity: site visits, presentations, client entertainment, and familiarisation trips.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure alignment between sales campaigns and marketing initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver detailed sales reports, revenue forecasts, and pipeline updates.
- Represent the hotels at networking events, trade fairs, and exhibitions nationally and internationally where appropriate.
- Work with operations teams to ensure the seamless delivery of client expectations.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Lead sales projects and promotions to maximise occupancy and revenue, especially during key seasons.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
