Role purpose

To generate and convert profitable wedding business across both hotels, providing couples with a warm, professional and highly organised journey from first enquiry through to their wedding day.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage wedding enquiries from initial contact through consultation, venue tour, quotation, contract, final details and handover.
  • Build strong relationships with couples, families and wedding suppliers, providing prompt and personalised communication.
  • Generate new business through wedding fairs, showcases, referrals, networking, digital enquiries and local partnerships.
  • Prepare accurate and inspiring proposals, packages, quotations and contracts tailored to each couple's requirements and budget.
  • Conduct venue tours, consultations, tastings, open days and wedding showcases.
  • Coordinate requirements including dates, guest numbers, ceremony and reception spaces, bedrooms, catering, décor, entertainment and accessibility.
  • Work closely with Events, Operations, Revenue, Food and Beverage and Finance to ensure a smooth handover and excellent delivery.
  • Develop relationships with photographers, florists, celebrants, entertainers and other wedding suppliers.
  • Identify additional revenue opportunities, including bedrooms, upgrades, food and beverage and ancillary services.
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline, follow up consistently and meet agreed wedding sales, revenue and conversion targets.
  • Monitor competitor activity and local wedding trends, sharing ideas to improve the hotels' wedding offering.

Experience

  • Experience in wedding sales, venue sales, events or hospitality.
  • A proven ability to convert enquiries and manage a sales pipeline.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail.
  • Commercial confidence with packages, pricing and negotiation.
  • Warm, professional and empathetic approach when working with couples.
  • Experience with a CRM, hotel sales system or event-planning platform; PRISM experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of wedding planning, event timelines and key wedding suppliers is desirable.
  • Flexibility to attend occasional evenings, weekends, wedding fairs and events.

Measures of success

  • Achievement of wedding sales, revenue and conversion targets.
  • Growth in new, repeat and referral wedding business across both hotels.
  • Accurate and timely PRISM records and reliable sales forecasting.
  • Positive couple feedback, referrals and testimonials.
  • Smooth handover and successful delivery of confirmed weddings.
