CMDB Application Developer & Reporting Specialist - SC Cleared
Whitehall Resources currently require an experienced CMDB Application Developer & Reporting Specialist to work with a key client.
Please note this role requires active SC Clearance and Falls INSIDE IR35
We are seeking an experienced CMDB Application Developer & Reporting Specialist to design, develop, and maintain a centralized Configuration Management Database (CMDB) solution supporting IT Service Management processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing business applications, automating data collection, implementing dashboards, and delivering actionable reporting and KPI monitoring capabilities to improve service quality, operational efficiency, and governance.
The solution may be built using Google Workspace technologies (AppSheet, Apps Script, BigQuery, Looker Studio) or equivalent platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, or custom web development frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Development
- Design and develop a CMDB management application.
- Create user-friendly interfaces for Configuration Item (CI) management.
- Develop workflows for CI lifecycle management.
- Implement data validation and integrity controls.
- Integrate multiple data sources through APIs and connectors.
- Automate data collection and synchronization processes.

CMDB Management
- Define and maintain CMDB data models.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Develop CI relationship mapping capabilities.
- Support asset, infrastructure, application, and service inventories.
- Implement governance and audit mechanisms.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop operational and executive dashboards.
- Implement KPI and SLA reporting.
- Create automated reporting schedules.
- Design real-time monitoring and performance indicators.
- Deliver trend analysis and predictive insights.
KPI Management
- Develop and maintain indicators such as:
- CMDB Data Completeness
- CMDB Data Accuracy
- Environment Coverage
- CI Health Scores
- Data Freshness
- Discovery Coverage
- Service Mapping Coverage
- Asset Compliance
- Incident Impact Analysis
- Change Success Rate
Automation
- Develop automated notifications and alerts.
- Implement scheduled reporting mechanisms.
- Create exception management workflows.
- Automate compliance and governance controls.
- Support continuous CMDB health monitoring.
