Our client is a major international aerospace organization operating complex, highly regulated enterprise environments.

Role: CMDB Application Developer & Reporting Specialist

We are looking for an experienced CMDB Application Developer & Reporting Specialist to design and maintain a centralized Configuration Management Database solution supporting IT Service Management processes. The role combines application development, CMDB data modelling, API integrations, automation, dashboards, KPI reporting, and governance.

The solution may be built using Google Workspace technologies such as AppSheet, Apps Script, BigQuery, and Looker Studio, or equivalent platforms including Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, or custom web technologies.

CONTRACT: short-term (max 1 year) contract - B2B or B2C

LOCATIONS: Onsite in Ottobrunn, Germany; Getafe, Spain; or Stevenage, United Kingdom

PROCESS: intro call + 2-step client interview process

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a centralized CMDB management application.
  • Build user-friendly interfaces and workflows for Configuration Item lifecycle management.
  • Define CMDB data models, CI relationships, validation rules, and governance controls.
  • Integrate multiple data sources through REST APIs, connectors, and automated synchronization.
  • Support asset, infrastructure, application, and service inventories.
  • Develop executive and operational dashboards for CMDB health and service performance.
  • Build KPI and SLA reporting, including automated and scheduled reporting.
  • Implement alerts, exception workflows, compliance controls, and continuous CMDB health monitoring.
  • Deliver trend analysis, monitoring, and actionable reporting for service quality and governance.
  • Produce technical documentation, user guides, and governance procedures.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of application development experience.
  • Strong experience with database design, SQL, data modelling, and REST API integration.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reporting solutions, and KPI frameworks.
  • Good knowledge of CMDB / Configuration Management processes.
  • Understanding of ITSM concepts including Asset Management, Service Mapping, Discovery, and Data Governance.
  • Experience with Google AppSheet or Microsoft Power Platform is a plus.
