CMDB Manager - Manchester (Hybrid)

£56,000 + Benefits

The Role

If you enjoy bringing structure to complex technology environments, improving data quality, and creating the foundations that enable better IT decision-making, this CMDB Manager role offers a genuine opportunity to make an impact.

This is a newly created position and will play a key part in the implementation of a new CMDB platform. You'll take ownership of Configuration Management across the technology estate, ensuring the CMDB becomes a trusted source of truth that supports operational excellence, governance, and service delivery.

The Opportunity

This is more than a BAU CMDB role.

You'll have the chance to build the Configuration Management capability from the ground up, defining processes, establishing governance, driving adoption, and ensuring the organisation gets real value from its CMDB investment.

Working closely with Service Management, Change, Asset Management, Infrastructure, and Support teams, you'll become the subject matter expert for Configuration Management and help embed it as a core ITSM discipline across the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
