The Role
Brackley, UK
We are seeking an experienced CMM Inspector to join our Main Inspection Department on a 5-month fixed-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-performance engineering environment, using advanced metrology equipment and techniques to ensure components meet the highest standards of accuracy and quality.
Your expertise will play a vital role in supporting critical car build activities and delivering engineering excellence. If you're passionate about precision engineering and take pride in delivering quality without compromise, we'd love to hear from you.
This role operates on our core hours from Monday to Friday, with participation in a planned weekend overtime rota to support key car build activities during peak build periods.
Key Responsibilities
As a CMM Inspector, you will:
- Carry out dimensional, mechanical and visual inspections, ensuring components meet engineering drawing and specification requirements.
- Program and operate CMMs using PC-DMIS, both online and offline.
- Support all aspects of Metrology, utilising a range of inspection equipment and measurement techniques.
- Produce accurate and detailed non-conformance reports where required.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
- Apply a strong understanding of GD&T and inspection best practices.

About You
Essential:
- A strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience using a variety of mechanical inspection equipment and hand measurement tools.
- A solid understanding of quality systems and metrology principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong computer skills and confidence working with technical software.
Desirable:
- Experience using Absolute Arm.
- Familiarity with Klingelnberg gear measurement techniques.
- Experience with SAP, although training can be provided.
