Job Purpose
To inspect product in line with the Method of Manufacture (MoM) to ensure that it conforms to customer specification.
Principle Accountabilities
- Work as part of a team to ensure departmental KPI’s are achieved.
- Perform manual, Faro arm and visual inspection checks as necessary on the product, in line with the MoM to ensure product conforming.
- Ensure test equipment (manual, CMM and Faro arm) is calibrated, informing Quality Department if there are any issues.
- Select the correct inspection programme to be used based on the SoP for any discipline faro, CMM etc.
- Record results on standard template for traceability and review as necessary.
- Ensure all product is serialised to aid traceability of parts.
- Perform Statistical Process Control analysis as required.
- Responsible for general administration and upkeep of departmental documentation including completing/updating all in process documentation and systems as required e.g. EFACs
- Highlight any non-conformances to Quality Department and actively contribute to the overall quality of the product and associated processes.
- Participate in shift change hand over to ensure and that departmental performance is not affected and that KPI’s are achieved.
- Working with all departments to ensure the overall product/process quality is of the highest standard.
- Transport Product using FLT/Pump Truck as necessary.
- Encourage and actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Be actively involved in any process improvement or quality investigation with regard to non-conforming product including working with other functions including but not limited to Engineering and Quality to help identify issues, develop solutions and implement improvements.
- To achieve required Quality Standard, through strict adherence to policies, procedures and documentation.
- Reading and understanding the appropriate Risk Assessments and Work Instructions including assisting in their preparation as necessary.
- Support and promote a Health & Safety (H&S) culture by complying with all aspects of H&S policy and procedures including ensuring that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements are adhered to at all times.
- Maintain working environment to expected levels of housekeeping and organisation at all times.
- Undertake other tasks within capabilities, in any department across the business, as requested by the Manager / Supervisor

- Previous experience working as an inspector within a similar industry
- Computer Literate
Desirable Experience/ Qualifications
- Experience of CMM
- FLT License
