🔧 CNC Setter/Operator – Billericay, Essex
📍 Billericay, Essex | 🕐 Full-Time, Permanent | 🏭 On-Site
We’re looking for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join our established precision engineering team in Billericay.
With over 32 years of experience in precision engineering, we’re continuing to grow and invest in our people, machinery and technology. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills across CNC sliding head and fixed head technology, with training provided.
The Role
Working with Citizen and Miyano CNC lathes, primarily using Mitsubishi controls, you’ll produce high-quality precision components directly from technical drawings.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting and operating CNC machines
- Producing precision components from technical drawings
- Working to tight tolerances across a range of materials
- Programming CNC machines when required — training provided
- Contributing to continuous improvement
- Maintaining high standards of quality and safety

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in CNC Turning
- Experience setting and operating multi-axis CNC turning centres
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Knowledge of tooling data, thread geometry and tool charts
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Solid understanding of CNC turning and machining principles
- Mechanical engineering background
We’re looking for someone professional, reliable, organised and keen to learn and develop.
Hours
Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am–3:30pm
Overtime available.
