Job Title: CNC Laser Setter Operator
Night Shift CNC Laser Setter Operator (4 Positions Available)
Location: Derby
Salary: Up to £40,000 (depending on experience)
Shift Pattern: Monday-Thursday (4 on / 3 off) 6:00pm - 6:00am (12-hour shifts)
Future shift pattern may move to 4 on / 4 off
About the Role
We are currently recruiting 4 Night Shift CNC Laser Setter Operators to join a busy, modern manufacturing environment operating 24/7. Following a recent £2 million investment in brand-new machinery, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and forward-thinking production team.
This is a hands-on role where you'll primarily set and operate CNC laser cutting machines, ensuring efficient production, quality output, and machine optimisation within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and operating CNC laser cutting machines
- Loading programs and carrying out machine set-ups
- Performing tooling and parameter adjustments to optimise production
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings accurately
- Working with metal components to precise specifications
- Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
- Maintaining high standards of productivity and efficiency
- Supporting a flexible, multi-skilled production environment
- Adhering to health & safety procedures at all times

What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Previous experience as a CNC Laser Setter Operator
- Experience setting and operating CNC laser machines
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Knowledge of machine set-up, offsets, and quality inspection procedures
- A strong work ethic and reliable attitude
- Experience within a sheet metal or manufacturing environment
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
