Our client based in Longton is a well established and growing manufacturing business based in Longton, specialising in high-quality metal cutting, bending and welding solutions for a diverse range of customers.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join their machining team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a CNC Programmer / Operator, you will play a key role within the machining department, taking responsibility for the programming, setting and operation of CNC machinery using Fanuc controls.

You will ensure components are manufactured accurately, efficiently and consistently, while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programming CNC machines using Fanuc controls
  • Setting and operating CNC machinery
  • Reading and interpreting engineering and technical drawings
  • Selecting appropriate tooling and setting machine offsets
  • Producing components to tight tolerances and specifications
  • Inspecting finished components to ensure quality standards are met
  • Carrying out routine machine maintenance and basic fault-finding
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
  • Working in line with company health and safety procedures

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer / Operator
  • Strong working knowledge of Fanuc CNC control systems essential
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience machining components to tight tolerances
  • A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality
  • Good knowledge of health and safety within a manufacturing environment
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • Friday: 8:00am - 3:30pm
