Ready to lead a CNC team and have a real say in how a machine shop runs? At Beagle Aircraft, we manufacture precision components and assemblies for aerospace programmes. We’re looking for a CNC Machine Shop Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operation of our Christchurch machine shop.

This role would suit an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor or a CNC Team Leader ready for a broader leadership role. You’ll stay close to the technical work while helping your team deliver safely, on time and to the quality standards our customers expect.

What you’ll do

  • Set daily priorities and support the CNC machinists in your team.
  • Coordinate workload, machine capacity and production progress.
  • Help resolve machining issues with Engineering, Quality and Planning.
  • Coach team members and maintain high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping.
  • Spot practical ways to improve output, reduce rework and make better use of equipment.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong hands-on CNC machining experience, with the ability to read engineering drawings and solve shop-floor problems.
  • Experience supervising, leading or coordinating other machinists.
  • The confidence to organise work, communicate priorities and support your team when plans change.
  • Experience with multi-axis machining or aerospace manufacturing would be useful, but you don’t need to have worked in aerospace to apply. We’re interested in people who know precision machining and can lead a team well.
