Role Description
- Prepare for work by studying SOPs, Work Order details, machine setup instructions, drawings, and parts lists.
- Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Set up machines if trained to do so.
- Create and modify CNC programs if authorized.
- Machine rods, cylinders, or components, checking for any damage to material that could affect the final product before use.
- Verify final product quality by inspection to the appropriate procedures and frequency.
- Obtain First off pass off to the prevailing policy.
- Notify supervision if any defects are found.
- Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and calling for repairs where necessary.
- Complete batch cards, inspection records, record preventative maintenance, training, and other record keeping as required.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Work on your own initiative and understand the relevant SOPs/Quality Instructions/Risk Assessments/COSSH data and manufacturing processes.
- Fulfill training deemed necessary to allow efficient performance of duties and assist in your personal development.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and policies.
- Take a responsible approach to health, safety, and environmental risks in relation to your own job role and to control the risks or report them to management as appropriate.
