Are you an experienced CNC Machinist looking for your next opportunity?

Our client, a world leader in the design, manufacture and support of industrial turbochargers, is expanding and looking for skilled CNC Machinists to join their team. They are looking for experienced CNC Millers, CNC Turners, and CNC Grinders to produce high-precision components for a range of demanding industries, including marine, power generation, rail, and oil & gas.

The ideal candidate will have strong CNC machining experience, be confident setting and operating machinery, and have experience working with precision metal components to tight tolerances. You will need to be comfortable working within a highly regulated, high-precision manufacturing environment.

Permanent or Contract

  • 37 hours per week
  • 3-Shift Rotating Pattern
  • Location: Lincoln

Job Description

  • Set and operate CNC Milling, Turning, or Grinding machines.
  • Produce high-precision metal components to tight tolerances.
  • Set machines with the required workholding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Use a variety of calibrated measuring equipment to ensure components meet required standards.
  • Complete machining operations efficiently and accurately in line with production requirements.
  • Work as part of a multi-skilled team across different CNC machining areas.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, health & safety, and housekeeping.
  • Support production targets and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Be flexible to work additional hours and overtime when required.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • Experience setting and operating CNC Milling, Turning, or Grinding machines.
  • CNC Millers: Minimum 3-axis milling experience.
  • CNC Turners: Minimum 2-axis turning experience.
  • Experience machining high-precision metal components to tight tolerances.
  • Experience working within a highly regulated or high-precision manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Experience using a variety of calibrated measuring equipment.
  • At least 4 years' relevant industry experience is desirable.
  • Recognised time-served Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 is desirable but not essential.
  • Self-motivated with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good timekeeping and a flexible approach to shift patterns and additional hours.
  • Strong awareness of health & safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.

  • Competitive salary / contractor rates.
  • Shift allowance of 10% for AM, 15% for PM, and 28% for nights.
  • Overtime available, with approximately 6 hours per week available if required.
  • Overtime paid at 1.25x Monday–Friday and 1.5x weekends.
