About the Role
Bring your CNC machining skills to Rubberatkins, where precision, problem-solving and teamwork help us design and manufacture innovative elastomer and plastic solutions for customers operating in some of the world’s most demanding environments.
We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our Tooling team in Aberdeen. This is a hands-on role where you will set, programme and operate CNC equipment, machine steel components and rubber elements, interpret engineering drawings, use CAD/CAM software and contribute to accurate, safe and efficient production.

What You Will Be Doing
- Set up, programme and operate CNC machines to manufacture accurate components to specification.
- Use CAD/CAM software to support programming, dimension drawings and interpret manufacturing requirements.
- Machine steel components and rubber elements, including fitting PCDs and straps, final tooling assembly and outgoing quality checks.
- Use precision measuring equipment to confirm accuracy and quality.
- Maintain safe working practices, good housekeeping and adherence to Rubberatkins procedures, quality standards and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, machining processes and working methods.

This is a shift-based role, working on a weekly rotating three-shift pattern covering 6:00am–2:00pm, 2:00pm–10:00pm and 10:00pm–6:00am.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous CNC machining experience, including setting, operating and programming CNC machines.
- Experience using CAD/CAM software for CNC programming; Fusion 360 experience would be advantageous, but equivalent software experience will also be considered.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- A strong approach to quality, safety and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive, accountable and improvement-focused mindset.
