CNC Operator - Bespoke Joinery & Interiors

The Company

Our client is a well-established and highly regarded specialist contractor operating across the high-end commercial interiors, retail fit-out, hospitality and bespoke joinery sectors.

With an impressive portfolio of projects across the UK and Europe, the business combines design, project management and in-house joinery manufacturing to deliver high-quality, bespoke interior solutions for some of the country's leading brands and organisations.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join their manufacturing team.

The Role

As a CNC Operator, you will play a key role within the company's in-house joinery manufacturing operation, producing high-quality bespoke components for a range of exciting interior and fit-out projects.

You will be responsible for operating CNC machinery, interpreting drawings and programmes, and ensuring all components are manufactured accurately and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating CNC machinery within a busy joinery manufacturing environment
  • Setting and operating CNC routers and associated machinery
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and cutting lists
  • Producing bespoke joinery and interior components to a high standard
  • Checking dimensions and quality throughout the manufacturing process
  • Working from CAD drawings and CNC programmes
  • Carrying out basic machine maintenance and reporting any issues
  • Ensuring materials are used efficiently and accurately
  • Working closely with joiners, designers and the wider production team
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
  • Working to project deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a CNC Operator within a joinery, furniture, shopfitting or interior manufacturing environment.

You will be technically minded, have excellent attention to detail and take pride in producing high-quality work.

Experience With

  • CNC routers
  • Joinery or furniture manufacturing
  • CAD/CAM or CNC programming
  • Technical drawings
  • Bespoke joinery
  • Sheet materials and timber products

would be highly advantageous.

Most importantly, you will be reliable, practical and quality-focused, with a genuine interest in working within a specialist manufacturing environment.
