gap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for a CNC Machinist to work at their facility based near Birmingham.
Performance Objectives
- Operating CNC Vertical Milling Machines.
- Operating CNC Lathes.
- Operating Saws.
- Change of Jigs and entering new programmes.
- Tensile Testing.
- Fracture Toughness Testing.
- Stress Corrosion Testing.
- Material Analysis and Quality Records input.
- Future Training in Laboratory Testing.
Once trained, you will machine and test to high quality standards aiming for 100% on time delivery while placing Quality Assurance and Health & Safety first. All team members are expected to be proactive in making improvements e.g. machine reliability, process design, quality assurance, etc.

Person Specification
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths, English, and Science.
- Good Numeracy, English, and Reasoning ability (an entrance test will be given).
Preferred Qualifications
- BTEC Engineering Diplomas or A Levels in Maths or Science
- CNC experience.
