You will be working in the Cementation OU based in Doncaster where Skanska has been a trusted leader in piling and ground engineering. Our breadth of expertise spans every aspect of geotechnical engineering - from micro-piling to diaphragm walls - enabling us to deliver innovative solutions for the most complex challenges.
We are currently looking for a Machinist who will manufacture, repair or modify to a required standard in alignment with Skanska values and procedures.
As The Machinist, You Will
- Machine/Progress your work daily from the material arriving to final inspection and dispatch, which may involve extra working hours.
- Prioritise and detail your work to achieve targeted hours and delivery deadlines to the customers. Promote continuous improvement and innovation.
- Promote and ensure that health and safety and environmental awareness are always maintained.
- Manufacture, modify or repair to a technical drawing, sample or written instruction.
- Liaise with other departments when required to ensure work is progressed on time and to the highest quality highlighting any issues to the relevant personnel.

We Are Looking For
- City and Guilds/NVQ or equivalent in Turning & Milling
- CNC programming capabilities in Lathe & Milling (Fanuc/Hurco)
- Good teamworking skills, encouraging co-operation between individuals and groups
- Experience of an engineering manufacturing environment
- Abrasive Wheel/manual Handling & Slinger Signaler Qualifications
- Coaching and mentoring skills
