Position: CNC Machinist

Type of role: permanent

Working hours: 37 hours per week double day shift Monday to Friday, week 1 6:00 am to 02:00 pm and Week 2 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Salary: £37500 to £41438 per annum inclusive of shift allowance

Location: Bristol

We are now seeking to recruit 2 CNC machine operators/ setters to work for a busy precision engineering company based in Bristol. The appropriate candidate would be responsible for setting of CNC milling or turning machines with Fanuc controls, machining precision components to set specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting and operating CNC milling or turning machines with Fanuc controls
  • Running the machines
  • Checking of the quality of machined parts using micrometres, gauges, and verniers
  • Monitor operations and troubleshoot cutting conditions
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in operating and setting of CNC milling or turning machines
  • Ability to use measuring tools
  • Experience in CNC milling or CNC turning
  • Ideally previous experience of working to technical drawings
  • Flexibility to work rotating shift pattern and overtime when required
  • Understanding G codes
