CNC Machinist
Hours: Fri-Mon (10hrs per day) or Fri-Sun (12hrs per day)
Main Purpose of the Job
The CNC Machinist is responsible for programming, setting, and operating 5 Axis CNC Machine centres to produce high-quality precision parts and components according to engineering specifications and production requirements. The CNC Machinist ensures optimal machine performance, accuracy, and efficiency while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Main Tasks of the Job
- Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture complex components with precision.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to program and adjust machining processes accordingly.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure accurate execution of composite parts, meeting quality and dimensional requirements.
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines using calibration checks.
- Monitor machining processes, making real-time adjustments to optimize toolpaths and reduce waste.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and guidelines for working with composite materials.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet project timelines and delivery schedules.
- Stay updated on advancements in 5-axis CNC machining technology and techniques for composite materials.

Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience as a 5-axis CNC machinist, specifically working with composite materials. Minimum 2 years of experience.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of composite machining processes, tooling, and cutting strategies.
- Experience with CAM software for programming and optimizing toolpaths. Preferably Hypermill but not essential.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality control procedures.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality, defect-free components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience on gantry style machines, Preferably Belotti & CMS using Fanuc and siemens controls but not essential, Training will be provided.
- Flexible working attitude and willingness to go the extra mile to meet customer requirements.
