About The Role
Paralloy is a leading International Manufacturer of precision engineered components and systems for tolerance critical applications. The business has a worldwide presence and is a major supplier to the petrochemical market. Principle Function
We are seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance and reliability of CNC machine tools and manufacturing equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventative maintenance, breakdown response, fault diagnosis, and continuous improvement activities, ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with CNC controls, and a proactive approach to equipment reliability and performance improvement.

Responsibilities And Duties Include
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on CNC machine tools and associated equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system faults.
- Troubleshoot CNC controls, drives, motors, sensors, and automated systems to minimise downtime.
- Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
- Install, commission, and modify CNC equipment and production machinery.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine reliability and production efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and manufacturing teams to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Assist with spare parts management and stock control of critical components.
- Support machine upgrades, refurbishments, and capital projects.

Essential Skills And Attributes
- Apprenticeship or recognised qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Maintenance Engineering.
- Proven experience maintaining CNC lathes, machining centres, milling machines, and automated production equipment.
- Strong fault-finding skills across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of CNC control systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, Mazatrol, or similar.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience with PLC diagnostics and industrial automation systems is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
