CNC Manufacturing Engineer
As a CNC Manufacturing Engineer within our Flexibles Manufacturing team, you will implement engineering concepts, manage technical aspects of manufacturing, and develop both new and existing product lines. You will support high-quality, cost-effective production while reducing environmental impact, and champion continuous improvement through lean methodologies. This hands-on role involves close collaboration with shop-floor staff, engineering, and manufacturing groups, with clear pathways for career progression and personal development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain offline CNC programs using Edgecam to support turning, milling and horizontal boring operations.
- Provide hands-on technical support to the workshop and resolve manufacturing and machining challenges.
- Develop, evaluate and improve machining methods, tooling and manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality and production performance.
- Monitor machining performance and identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and improve workshop efficiency.
- Evaluate and introduce appropriate developments in machining technology, tooling and manufacturing methods.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support consistent and standardized manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality and other relevant teams to support efficient production and resolve technical issues.
- Identify and escalate technical or manufacturing risks early, supporting effective resolution and continuity of production.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must-Have
- Practical experience in CNC machining, including relevant experience across turning, milling and horizontal boring.
- Experience using CAD/CAM programming software within a CNC manufacturing environment.
- Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent relevant engineering/manufacturing qualification.
- Ability to understand machining processes, manufacturing methods, tooling and relevant engineering information.
- Ability to work independently on technical activities while collaborating effectively with manufacturing and shop-floor teams.
- Willingness and ability to work the required rotating shift pattern of two weeks on days followed by one week on nights.

Preferred
- Experience using Edgecam for offline CNC programming.
- Experience with current machining tooling, technologies and manufacturing methods.
- Experience applying continuous improvement or lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with job-costing analysis.
- Experience with Flexible Pipe End Fittings or a comparable manufacturing environment.
- Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
