We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician - Milling
to join our team at our manufacturing site in Basingstoke.
Hours: Monday to Friday 6am – 2pm & 2pm – 10pm, alternating weekly.
The role
As Manufacturing Technician - Milling, you will operate the manufacturing plant in the Flexible Manufacturing Unit.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Loading and unloading billets and piece parts into CNC Machining Centres for manufacturing processes.
- Operating CNC equipment to produce parts as assigned.
- Monitoring machines to detect equipment or process errors.
- Stopping machines and reporting if necessary to prevent failures.
- Maintaining machines and equipment used.
- Monitoring and taking responsibility for the quality of components using a wide range of equipment including CMM inspection.
- Completing production documentation, written and electronic.

What are we looking for?
As Manufacturing Technician - Milling, you will have the following:
Essential skills
- Previous experience in operating vertical and horizontal machining centres manufacturing close tolerance prismatic parts safely and efficiently.
- Previous experience of accurately using standard manual measuring equipment and gauges.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in English furnished in either written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Basic PC skills.
- Good mechanical aptitude and excellent hand/eye coordination.
- Familiarity with hand deburring tools.
- Ability to undertake repetitive tasks consistently and accurately to verbal or written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and reliable.
