Role Description
The CNC Milling & Turning Setter/Operator is a full-time, on-site position based in Pidley. This role involves setting up and operating CNC milling and turning machines to produce components to drawing, specification, and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Interpreting engineering drawings
- Selecting tooling
- Loading and adjusting programs
- Performing first-off and in-process inspections
- Making offsets or adjustments as required

The Setter/Operator will:
- Monitor machine performance
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Report any issues with equipment or materials
The role may also involve:
- Collaborating with colleagues
- Supporting less experienced team members
- Contributing to continuous improvement of machining processes
Qualifications
- CNC programming skills for milling and turning, including reading and modifying programs and understanding G-code or similar controls.
- Strong machining capabilities, including machine setup, tooling selection, precision measuring, and working to tight tolerances.
- Experience with reading engineering drawings, using measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, vernier calipers), and following quality procedures.
- Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to health and safety in a workshop environment.
- Previous experience in CNC milling and turning is Essential.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
