Summary
CNC Machine Operators are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce parts, ensuring all pieces are made in accordance with the set specifications and blueprints. They also play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of the machine operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and design models
- Inputting the design specifications into the CNC machine
- Setting up and operating the CNC machine and equipment, including calibrating the machine to the task at hand
- Observing CNC machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions
- Adjusting machine settings to keep parts within needed tolerances
- Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure they meet requirements using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Performing routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages
- Reporting any issues to the supervisor so they can be fixed immediately

- 1- 3 years of CNC experience
Functional Skills
- Operators must possess a blend of technical knowledge, attention to detail, and practical experience.
- Must be capable of reading technical documents, have a good understanding of mathematics, and be mechanically inclined to manage the demands of the job successfully.
- A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
- Good communication abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
