We specialise in making one off tooling ranging from Ceramic Core Dies to state-of-the-art Wax Pattern tooling with our very own Smartwall technology.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC machine operator to join our manufacturing team. The CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to perform precision machining operations. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machinery, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Setup: Prepare and set up CNC machines for production runs, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are in place.
  • Operation: Operate CNC mills to manufacture parts according to specifications and drawings. We operate 3, 4 and 5 axis Haas machines as well as 3 axis Hurco’s.
  • Programming: Load and modify CNC programs as needed to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished products against drawings and models to ensure all features are complete.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with CNC machines or the machining process to minimize downtime.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, and quality checks.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

Experience:
Time Served CNC Toolmaking or manufacturing experience
5+ years’ experience on Haas and/or Hurco CNC controls
Excellent working knowledge of G/M code (ISO CNC) machine control
Proficient user of Autodesk PowerMill (5+ yrs experience)

Education:
GCSE’s or equivalent; Technical training in CNC or milling operation preferred.

Technical Skills:
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD models. Familiarity with CNC programming languages (e.g. G-code, M-code, PowerMill).

Attention to Detail:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Problem-Solving:
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.

Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials as needed.

Team Player:
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with colleagues.
