Salary: A GBP 29,572 + 12.5% shift allowance = GBP 33,268.50
Bonus: Up to 2 annual bonuses
Working Hours
Shift Pattern (alternating Weekly)
- Week 1: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
- Week 2: Monday - Thursday, 1:45pm - 11:40pm (Friday off)
The Opportunity
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are seeking a CNC Operator to join a highly skilled, friendly, and results-focused Machine Shop team. You will play a key role in producing high-quality precision components for global customers within a fast-paced engineering environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with CNC machining experience who takes pride in quality, attention to detail, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC and Heidenhain machinery to cut and shape metals including aluminium, brass, and copper
- Interpret engineering drawings, instructions, and procedures to manufacture components
- Complete machine setup, calibration, and warm-up processes
- Carry out inspections, including first-off checks and in-process checks
- Conduct routine maintenance and pre-start checks
- Identify faults and resolve issues to maintain quality standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Complete production documentation and update systems accurately
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production plans

Essential Skills and Experience
- Apprenticeship in CNC Machining or similar discipline
- Experience in machining, metal working, or manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow technical drawings and instructions
- Good problem-solving skills and fault-finding ability
- Strong team player with a proactive approach
Desirable
- CNC programming experience
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Mechanical engineering background
