We work on projects nationwide supplying UK’s top hotels, high-rise build-to-rent apartments, student accommodations to universities, and leading hospitals.

We are looking for a CNC Operator…

We are looking for an experienced CNC Operator with experience working in a timber or woodworking manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for programming, setting up and operating CNC machines to meet production requirements of bespoke timber doorsets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set up and operate CNC machines efficiently to meet daily production requirements of timber doorsets
  • Read and interpret production orders, technical drawings and specifications to determine the correct machine operation and setup
  • Select and use the appropriate cutting tools, materials and machine settings to achieve the required results
  • Operate CNC machinery and associated tools safely, following manufacturer's guidance, company procedures and health & safety requirements
  • Carry out regular checks on cutting tools, materials and finished products to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards
  • Monitor machine performance and make appropriate adjustments to optimise production efficiency, accuracy and quality
  • Identify and report machine faults, tooling issues or quality problems promptly
  • Maintain consistent production standards and minimise waste and downtime where possible
  • Keep the CNC machine, tools and surrounding work area clean, organised and tidy always

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience operating CNC machinery
  • Experience working with timber/wood products is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
  • Reliable, organised and able to work to tight production deadlines

Role details

  • Location: Aspex UK, The Whittle Estate, Cambridge Road, Whetstone, LE8 6LH
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2.30pm
  • Salary: From £14ph depending on experience
  • Contract: Permanent, full-time
  • Parking: Free on-site parking
