CNC Operator I Marshfield, Missouri

Role Overview

  • Location: Marshfield, MO
  • Employment Status: Full-Time
  • Work Schedule: 1st Shift (Monday–Thursday: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM), with possible overtime (OT) on Friday/Saturday
  • Pay Range: "X to X" per year (individual pay based on location, skills, expertise, and experience)
  • Relocation: Offered

  • FLSA Status: Full-time – Hourly/Non-exempt
  • Travel: Minimal (less than 5% )

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Final Department Supervisor, responsible for:
    • Editing, loading CNC programs
    • Providing technical support
    • Operating the plant’s Weeke CNC machines (daily CNC machine operations)

Essential Duties

  • Safety & Compliance
    • Uphold Plants and Company safety rules, promoting a safe-operational environment for all.
    • Ensure work practices, residual hazards (e.g., slip/trip prevention), and adherence to safety guidelines.

  • CNC Operations & Programming

    • Upload, validate programs in CNC machine (including GD&T specifications).
    • Set up machines for jobs, manage set-up parameters (e.g., tools, reference points), ensuring startup safety.
    • Operate machines to meet quality standards, conduct material inspections to confirm adherence to purchase order specifications.
    • Use precision tools like calipers to measure and validate parts.
    • Operate CNCs while maintaining equipment details in production and quality logs.
  • Quality & Process Support

    • Abide by quality assurance procedures, troubleshoot malfunctions, and resolve production defects.
    • Conduct preventive maintenance and report equipment malfunctions.
    • Continuously improve and enhance production efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration & Efficiency

    • Assist in non-CNC ad hoc tasks as assigned by leadership.
    • Maintain continuity between shifts by communicating irregularities or risks.
    • Assist with documenting and updating processes through technical training.
  • Preventive & Process Improvements

    • Stay current through education opportunities, reading technical literature, and vendor-specific training for process optimization.
    • Explore opportunities to optimize efficiency and refine workflows.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Required:
    • GED or High School Diploma required
  • Desired:
    • Technical knowledge of forming processes relevant to Marshfield products

Skills & Competencies

  • Required:
    • Ability to collaborate effectively, safely produce, and meet quality standards on team tasks.
    • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Desired:
    • Experience with CNC machining, precision measurement tools, and understanding product specifications.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Work Conditions:
    • Plant Environment: Manufacturer setting with:
      • Occasional high temperatures
      • Uneven surfaces, dusty conditions
      • Possible loud noises and workspace hazards.
    • Required: PPE (Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection)
  • Physical Activities:
    • Generally requires: Standing, walking, and frequent moving (25–50 lbs).
    • Occasional: Bending, climbing, or sitting.
