Permanent Stroud, Gloucestershire

Salary: Starting from A GBP 36,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: Monday:Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm, Friday 7:30am-12:00pm


Hawk:3 Talent Solutions are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced CNC Machinist based in the Gloucestershire area.


About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC professional to join a friendly and supportive engineering team. The successful candidate will have proven experience in CNC setting, operating and programming, with the ability to work accurately from engineering drawings and produce high-quality components.


Key Responsibilities

  • Setting, operating and programming CNC machines.
  • Producing components to precise specifications from engineering drawings.
  • Working on both one-off and batch production.
  • Setting and loading machines, including selecting and changing appropriate tooling.
  • Making tool and offset adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.
  • Monitoring machining processes and resolving any issues.
  • Carrying out quality checks using precision measuring equipment.
  • Working with CNC turning and milling machinery.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Working effectively as part of a friendly engineering team.

Experience And Skills

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist is essential.
  • Strong experience in CNC setting, operating and programming.
  • Mazak experience is highly desirable.
  • Fanuc control experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience with CNC turning and milling.
  • Ability to confidently read and work from engineering drawings.
  • Experience producing both one-off and batch components.
  • CAD experience would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds and machining processes.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
