CNC Operator - Bespoke Joinery

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Holiday: 20 days + Bank Holidays

The Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Operator to join a well-established and growing bespoke joinery manufacturing business.
The company specialises in the manufacture of high-quality bespoke joinery for residential and commercial projects, and is looking for a skilled CNC Operator to join its manufacturing team.
You will be responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient operation of CNC woodworking machinery, producing components in line with technical drawings, CNC programmes, specifications and quality standards.
Working alongside experienced Design, CNC Programming, Bench Joinery and Production teams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are manufactured accurately, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC woodworking machinery.
- Manufacture bespoke joinery components from approved CNC programmes and technical drawings.
- Read and interpret production drawings, cutting lists and works orders.
- Safely load and unload sheet materials and components.
- Select, install and change appropriate tooling.
- Carry out machine set-ups and test runs where required.
- Monitor machining operations and ensure components are produced accurately.
- Measure finished components and complete quality checks against drawings and tolerances.
- Identify and report programme, tooling or machine issues.
- Replace cutters and tooling as required.
- Complete daily machine cleaning, inspections and routine maintenance.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and Health & Safety.
- Work closely with CNC Programming, Design, Joinery and Production teams.
- Assist with material handling and movement within the manufacturing department.
- Contribute to improvements in production efficiency, quality and machine utilisation.

About You
- Previous experience operating CNC machinery, ideally within joinery, woodworking, furniture or a similar manufacturing environment.
- The ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Experience with CNC machine set-up, tooling and operation.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- The ability to work accurately to specified measurements and tolerances.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.
- A reliable, proactive and practical approach to work.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider production team.
- Experience within bespoke or high-end joinery manufacturing would be highly advantageous.
