Job Description
CNC Press Brake Setter Operator
2x CNC Press Brake machine Setter Operators (ideal editing/ programming skills too) required to join a credible and long standing engineering company who specialise in fabricated, machined and profile cut steel products in automotive, rail, construction sectors. Responsibilities as CNC Press Brake Setter Operator
- Setting and Operating Bystronic CNC Press Brake
- Working from engineering schematic drawings
- Creating quality steel components while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
- Inspection of finished parts (ensuring every component meets the required specifications)
- Two shifts are available: Either mornings and afters rotating or fixed nights!

Key Responsibilities for CNC Press Brake Setter Operator
As a Press Brake Machinist, you will:
- Set up and operate Bystronic press brake machinery
- Programme components accurately using engineering drawings
- Read and interpret flat profile engineering drawings, press bending symbols, development lengths and all other manufacturing information
- Produce components to required tolerances and quality standards
- Inspection - complete dimensional checks using measuring equipment such as callipers, micrometres, protractors, and tape measures
- Adjust programmes where needed (editing/ programming abilities is a bonus)
- Identify and resolve any issues during production (health and safety etc)
- Support other operators and share your knowledge when required

The CNC Press Brake Setter Operator, Person:

- Previous experience working within a press brake or similar engineering environment
- Apprentice-trained or time-served engineering experience considered
- Prior Bystronic CNC Press Brake experience essential
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and health and safety
- A reliable approach with strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
Shift options as CNC Press Brake Setter Operator:
Mornings & Afters Rotating or Fixed Nights
Morning and Afternoon shift pattern: Pay rate £15.70 per hour
- Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
- Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm - 12:00am
Fixed Night Shift: Pay £16.97 per hour
- Monday to Thursday, 8pm to 6am
