- Develop and maintain CNC programmes using AlphaCAM
- Create efficient CNC milling programmes for both horizontal and vertical machining centres
- Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, technical specifications and 3D solid models and develop work holding solutions
- Select appropriate tooling, cutting speeds and feeds to optimise machining performance
- Manufacture components to tight tolerances
- Collaborate closely with Production and Engineering teams to improve machining processes, increase efficiency and resolve technical challenges
- Create, maintain and optimise CNC programmes for a range of machining centres
- Assist the Machine Shop Supervisor with day-to-day operational activities as required
- Review, update and continuously improve existing CNC programmes to enhance productivity, quality and machining efficiency
Your Profile
- Demonstrated experience in CNC programming, with a strong background in CNC milling and machining operations
- Proficiency in offline programming using CAD/CAM package and confidence in supporting shop-floor machining activities
- Ability to analyse complex engineering drawings and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing processes
- Strong problem-solving skills, a hands-on approach and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience in precision engineering and familiarity with ERP systems would be beneficial, although training will be provided
