Salary and Benefits:
- Paying up to £45,760 to £49,920 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
- Competitive salary
- Pay review twice a year
- Overtime available to workshop employees
- Basic hours: 40 hrs per week. Monday to Friday 07.00 to 15:30, (30 minutes unpaid lunch break each day).

Purpose of the Role
This role offers the opportunity to programme, set and operate advanced CNC turning and milling machinery, producing high-quality precision components to exact engineering standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Setting up and operating CNC machines, which includes loading workpieces, selecting tools, and setting machine parameters.
- Following and interpreting engineering drawings, understanding the specifications and tolerances required for each part.
- Creating and modifying CNC programmes, using CAD software or manual programming to create the necessary instructions for the machine.
- Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise during the machining process.
- Ensuring quality and accuracy of finished parts and verifying that they meet the required specifications.

Preferred Requirements and Skills:
- Previous experience in CNC programming using Alphacam CAD CAM system is essential
- Experience in using Puma SMX2600S CNC LATHE and Puma 3100LSY multitask turning machines is essential
- Ability to program set and operate using a Fanuc31iB5 plus CNC control
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to identify and resolve issues
- Able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
- Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- GSCE Mathematics
- Good level of basic English
