About The Role

Pertemps Dudley Industrial seeks a CNC Programmer for a full-time role in Halesowen, paying £15 to £20 per hour depending on experience. Working Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:00pm, you will programme, set, and operate CNC milling machines using Fanuc controls. The position suits a machinist with solid milling experience who can work independently within an established engineering manufacturer. We are looking for someone with solid CNC milling experience who is confident programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines using Fanuc controls.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CNC machinist looking for their next opportunity, Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm, with an hourly rate of £15- £20 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
  • Working with Fanuc CNC controls
  • Producing precision-engineered components to drawing and specification
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Setting tooling, workholding, offsets and machine parameters
  • Selecting appropriate cutting tools and machining techniques
  • Editing and adjusting CNC programmes where required
  • Setting machines for both repeat and varied production work
  • Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections
  • Using micrometers, verniers, gauges and other precision measuring equipment
  • Working to tight tolerances and maintaining high quality standards
  • Identifying and resolving basic machining issues
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area

The Ideal Candidate

The successful CNC Programmer / Miller / Setter Operator will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a CNC milling role
  • Experience as a CNC Programmer, CNC Miller, CNC Setter or CNC Setter Operator
  • Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
  • Proven experience programming, setting and operating
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of tooling, speeds, feeds and machining processes
  • Experience machining components to tight tolerances
  • Good knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques
  • A strong engineering background and practical approach
  • Ability to work independently and meet production requirements
